Russia’s Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Kazakhstan totaled $6,582,543,113, up 56.41% ($2,373,943,526) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $4,556,629,725, up 44.20% ($1,396,703,358) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $2,025,913,388, up 93.19% ($977,240,168) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $2,530,716,337, a 19.87% increase ($419,463,190) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 9th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 8th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 3.4783% of Russia’s total trade (up from 3.4495% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 8th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 5th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 3.9613% of Russia’s total exports (down from 4.5194% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 9th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 2.7297% of Russia’s total imports (up from 2.0133% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Kazakhstan

The major share of Russian exports to Kazakhstan in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
