Russia’s Trade with Montenegro

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Montenegro totaled $12,993,653, up 154.05% ($7,879,125) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Montenegro in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $1,647,158, up 71.49% ($686,688) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Montenegro in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $11,346,495, up 173.14% ($7,192,437) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Montenegro in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $9,699,337, a 203.71% increase ($6,505,749) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Montenegro was Russia’s 133rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 141st in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0069% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0042% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Montenegro was Russia’s 149th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 147th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0014% of Russia’s total exports (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Montenegro was Russia’s 103rd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 110th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0153% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0080% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Montenegro in the 2nd quarter of 2021 over the 2nd quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $38,644;
  • Furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions and similar stuffed furnishings; lamps and lighting fittings, not elsewhere specified or included; illuminated sign illuminated nameplates and the like; prefabricated buildings (HS code 94) - a decrease of $28,592;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $13,590;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $12,320;
  • Ceramic products (HS code 69) - a decrease of $12,138;
  • Other made up textile articles; sets; worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags (HS code 63) - a decrease of $8,989.
