Russia’s Trade with Chile

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Chile was $175,052,050, down 10.23% ($19,946,070) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $33,999,723, up 177.60% ($21,752,201) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2021 were $141,052,327, down 22.82% ($41,698,271) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2021 was $107,052,604, a 37.21% decrease ($63,450,472) over the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Chile was Russia’s 77th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 68th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0840% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1428% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Chile was Russia’s 108th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 119th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0255% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0156% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Chile was Russia’s 56th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 43rd in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1879% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3155% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Chile

The major share of Russian exports to Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 37.61% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (56.46% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 25.33% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (7.19% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 25.09% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (17.28% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 7.76% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (4.87% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 2.09% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (11.80% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);

  • Coffee, tea, maté and spices (HS code 09) - a decrease of $487,246;
