Russia’s Trade with Italy

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Italy totaled $8,080,109,569, up 67.11% ($3,244,857,258) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Italy in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $4,968,911,279, up 126.43% ($2,774,425,243) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Italy in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $3,111,198,290, up 17.81% ($470,432,015) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade balance with Italy went from a deficit of $446,280,239 in the 3rd quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $1,857,712,989 in the 3rd quarter of 2021.

Italy was Russia’s 7th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 9th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 3.8758% of Russia’s total trade (up from 3.5404% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Italy was Russia’s 8th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 11th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 3.7251% of Russia’s total exports (up from 2.7901% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Italy was Russia’s 6th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 5th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 4.1436% of Russia’s total imports (down from 4.5595% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

The major share of Russian exports to Italy in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
