Russia’s Trade with Malaysia
In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Malaysia totaled $763,160,409, up 27.60% ($165,066,564) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Malaysia in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $328,853,887, up 91.47% ($157,103,754) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Malaysia in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $434,306,522, up 1.87% ($7,962,810) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade deficit with Malaysia in the 3rd quarter of 2021 was $105,452,635, a 58.58% decrease ($149,140,944) over the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Malaysia was Russia’s 45th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 38th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3661% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4379% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 54th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 55th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2465% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2184% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 32nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 29th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5784% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.7361% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Malaysia
The major share of Russian exports to Malaysia in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 82.45% of Russia’s total exports to Malaysia (65.94% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.78% of Russia’s total exports to Malaysia (5.45% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
