In 2012, Russia’s trade with Costa Rica totaled $178,041,147, up 43.17% ($53,680,633) from 2011.

Russia’s exports to Costa Rica in 2012 were $13,058,957, down 42.77% ($9,761,391) from 2011.

Russia’s imports from Costa Rica in 2012 totaled $164,982,190, up 62.48% ($63,442,024) from 2011.

Russia’s trade deficit with Costa Rica in 2012 was $151,923,233, a 92.99% increase ($73,203,415) over 2011.

Costa Rica was Russia’s 103rd largest trading partner in 2012 (up from 111th in 2011), accounting for 0.0211% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0151% in 2011).

Costa Rica was Russia’s 132nd largest export market in 2012 (down from 125th in 2011), accounting for 0.0025% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0044% in 2011).

Costa Rica was Russia’s 75th largest supplier in 2012 (up from 81st in 2011), accounting for 0.0520% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0332% in 2011).

Russia’s Imports from Costa Rica

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 29.57% of Russia’s total imports from Costa Rica (23.78% in 2011);
