Russia’s Trade with Turkmenistan

In 2012, Russia’s trade with Turkmenistan totaled $1,394,331,595, up 7.45% ($96,681,494) from 2011.

Russia’s exports to Turkmenistan in 2012 totaled $1,210,564,330, up 4.81% ($55,500,913) from 2011.

Russia’s imports from Turkmenistan in 2012 totaled $183,767,265, up 28.88% ($41,180,581) from 2011.

Russia’s trade surplus with Turkmenistan in 2012 was $1,026,797,065, a 1.41% increase ($14,320,332) over 2011.

Turkmenistan was Russia’s 62nd largest trading partner in 2012 (up from 63rd in 2011), accounting for 0.1656% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1578% in 2011).

Turkmenistan was Russia’s 53rd largest export market in 2012 (just as in 2011), accounting for 0.2307% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2235% in 2011).

Turkmenistan was Russia’s 71st largest supplier in 2012 (up from 76th in 2011), accounting for 0.0579% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0466% in 2011).

Russia’s Imports from Turkmenistan

  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 29.12% of Russia’s total imports from Turkmenistan (45.35% in 2011);
