In 2013, Russia’s trade with Portugal totaled $1,341,790,231, up 24.46% ($263,687,115) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in 2013 totaled $650,353,567, up 30.15% ($150,651,141) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in 2013 totaled $691,436,664, up 19.54% ($113,035,974) from 2012.

Russia’s trade deficit with Portugal in 2013 was $41,083,097, a 47.80% decrease ($37,615,167) over 2012.

Portugal was Russia’s 66th largest trading partner in 2013 (just as in 2012), accounting for 0.1593% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1280% in 2012).

Portugal was Russia’s 65th largest export market in 2013 (down from 63rd in 2012), accounting for 0.1233% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0952% in 2012).

Portugal was Russia’s 52nd largest supplier in 2013 (down from 51st in 2012), accounting for 0.2195% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1823% in 2012).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 56.96% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (74.48% in 2012);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 27.75% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (0.67% in 2012);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.70% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (6.39% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 4.34% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (5.98% in 2012);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.09% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (9.88% in 2012);
