In 2014, Russia’s trade with Cyprus was $653,277,484, down 66.77% ($1,312,664,465) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2014 were $609,650,119, down 68.30% ($1,313,619,192) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Cyprus in 2014 totaled $43,627,365, up 2.24% ($954,727) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Cyprus in 2014 was $566,022,754, a 69.90% decrease ($1,314,573,919) over 2013.

Cyprus was Russia’s 78th largest trading partner in 2014 (down from 51st in 2013), accounting for 0.0834% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2334% in 2013).

Cyprus was Russia’s 67th largest export market in 2014 (down from 40th in 2013), accounting for 0.1227% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3648% in 2013).

Cyprus was Russia’s 94th largest supplier in 2014 (just as in 2013), accounting for 0.0153% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0135% in 2013).

Russia’s Exports to Cyprus

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 78.83% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (81.82% in 2013);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 8.62% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (2.44% in 2013);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 8.42% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (1.51% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 3.18% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (13.28% in 2013).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - a decrease of $232,511,757;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $6,249,778;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $4,910,526;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $3,589,924;
