Russia’s Trade with Norway

In 2014, Russia’s trade with Norway was $2,086,337,508, down 18.55% ($475,024,815) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Norway in 2014 totaled $935,646,784, up 15.83% ($127,854,700) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Norway in 2014 were $1,150,690,724, down 34.38% ($602,879,515) from 2013.

Russia’s trade deficit with Norway in 2014 was $215,043,940, a 77.26% decrease ($730,734,215) over 2013.

Norway was Russia’s 47th largest trading partner in 2014 (down from 44th in 2013), accounting for 0.2665% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3041% in 2013).

Norway was Russia’s 57th largest export market in 2014 (up from 60th in 2013), accounting for 0.1883% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1532% in 2013).

Norway was Russia’s 39th largest supplier in 2014 (down from 32nd in 2013), accounting for 0.4024% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.5567% in 2013).

Russia’s Exports to Norway

The major share of Russian exports to Norway in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 47.51% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (51.81% in 2013);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 21.59% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (17.99% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 16.25% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (16.90% in 2013);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.82% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (6.06% in 2013);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 5.16% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (3.68% in 2013);
