Russia's Trade with Israel

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Israel was $453,570,329, down 26.35% ($162,309,499) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $269,846,020, down 33.77% ($137,573,984) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Israel in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $183,724,309, down 11.87% ($24,735,515) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Israel in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $86,121,711, a 56.71% decrease ($112,838,469) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Israel was Russia's 38th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (up from 39th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4661% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.4655% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Israel was Russia's 42nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 39th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4397% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.4514% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Israel was Russia's 35th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 33rd in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.5112% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.4960% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Israel

The major share of Russian exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 56.68% of Russia's total exports to Israel (45.21% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 20.61% of Russia's total exports to Israel (41.88% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.26% of Russia's total exports to Israel (4.01% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 6.27% of Russia's total exports to Israel (3.32% in the 1st quarter of 2015);

  • Pulp of wood or of other fibrous cellulosic material; waste and scrap of paper or paperboard (HS code 47) - an increase of $1,302,877.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $111,112,653;
