Russia's Trade with Malta

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Malta was $418,310,050, down 35.17% ($226,964,762) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Malta in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $411,589,474, down 35.61% ($227,644,088) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Malta in the 1st quarter of 2016 totaled $6,720,576, up 11.24% ($679,326) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Malta in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $404,868,898, a 36.06% decrease ($228,323,414) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Malta was Russia's 42nd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 38th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4299% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.4877% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Russia's Imports from Malta

The major share of Russian imports from Malta in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 35.06% of Russia's total imports from Malta (10.01% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
