Russia's Trade with Peru

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Peru was $70,179,036, down 70.71% ($169,437,718) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $48,947,924, down 77.35% ($167,198,544) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $21,231,112, down 9.54% ($2,239,174) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $27,716,812, a 85.61% decrease ($164,959,370) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Peru was Russia's 83rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 64th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0645% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.1758% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Peru was Russia's 79th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 50th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0737% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.2361% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Peru was Russia's 81st largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 80th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0501% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.0524% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Peru

The major share of Russian exports to Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 41.89% of Russia's total exports to Peru (22.56% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 38.78% of Russia's total exports to Peru (5.87% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 7.52% of Russia's total exports to Peru (6.35% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 5.35% of Russia's total exports to Peru (0.42% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.42% of Russia's total exports to Peru (0.65% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

  • Furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions and similar stuffed furnishings; lamps and lighting fittings, not elsewhere specified or included; illuminated sign illuminated nameplates and the like; prefabricated buildings (HS code 94) - an increase of $1,782,500;
  • Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 90) - an increase of $861,212;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $644,328;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $426,930;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $204,665.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $27,643,999;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $9,930,070;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $404,020;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $272,320;
  • Plastics and articles thereof (HS code 39) - a decrease of $251,316;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $222,042;
  • Tools, implements, cutlery, spoons and forks, of base metal; parts thereof of base metal (HS code 82) - a decrease of $218,738.

The major share of Russian imports from Peru in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 87.21% of Russia's total imports from Peru (90.90% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.16% of Russia's total imports from Peru (3.25% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
