Russia’s Trade with Denmark

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Denmark totaled $843,970,780, up 82.64% ($381,863,779) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $680,260,417, up 127.28% ($380,948,888) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $163,710,363, up 0.56% ($914,891) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $516,550,054, a 278.38% increase ($380,033,997) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Denmark was Russia’s 33rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 37th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.6565% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4760% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Denmark was Russia’s 29th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 37th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.8163% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.4884% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Denmark was Russia’s 41st largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 38th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3621% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4548% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Denmark

The major share of Russian exports to Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 80.29% of Russia’s total exports to Denmark (68.72% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 11.25% of Russia’s total exports to Denmark (13.84% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 3.28% of Russia’s total exports to Denmark (5.73% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
