Russia’s Trade with Serbia

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Serbia totaled $555,928,290, up 47.15% ($178,123,037) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Serbia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $248,129,926, up 60.49% ($93,521,105) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Serbia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $307,798,364, up 37.90% ($84,601,932) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Serbia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $59,668,438, a 13.00% decrease ($8,919,173) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Serbia was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3803% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3099% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Serbia was Russia’s 52nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 55th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2907% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2149% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Serbia was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 37th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.5060% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4466% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Serbia

The major share of Russian exports to Serbia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 33.62% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (38.81% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 25.59% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (18.59% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.20% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (8.44% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
