In 2017, Russia’s trade with Hungary totaled $5,373,383,015, up 24.77% ($1,066,676,448) from 2016.

Russia’s exports to Hungary in 2017 totaled $3,285,471,198, up 23.98% ($635,544,770) from 2016.

Russia’s imports from Hungary in 2017 totaled $2,087,911,817, up 26.02% ($431,131,678) from 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Hungary in 2017 was $1,197,559,381, a 20.58% increase ($204,413,092) over 2016.

Hungary was Russia’s 21st largest trading partner in 2017 (up from 24th in 2016), accounting for 0.9200% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.9207% in 2016).

Hungary was Russia’s 26th largest export market in 2017 (down from 25th in 2016), accounting for 0.9201% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.9282% in 2016).

Hungary was Russia’s 26th largest supplier in 2017 (up from 27th in 2016), accounting for 0.9199% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.9090% in 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in 2017 (and in 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 82.59% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (84.94% in 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.27% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (9.30% in 2016);
