Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Singapore totaled $883,638,468, up 8.19% ($66,880,619) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $778,127,139, up 11.49% ($80,215,141) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $105,511,329, down 11.22% ($13,334,522) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $672,615,810, a 16.16% increase ($93,549,663) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Singapore was Russia’s 37th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.5613% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5181% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Singapore was Russia’s 32nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 33rd in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.7455% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.6774% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Singapore was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 55th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1989% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2176% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 94.65% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (93.19% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.82% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (0.31% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.53% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (4.91% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
