Russia’s Trade with Morocco

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Morocco totaled $289,607,299, up 24.51% ($57,014,204) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $222,936,577, up 27.84% ($48,551,720) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $66,670,722, up 14.54% ($8,462,484) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $156,265,855, a 34.51% increase ($40,089,236) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Morocco was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 70th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1746% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1352% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Morocco was Russia’s 59th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2158% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1554% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Morocco was Russia’s 68th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1066% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0972% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Morocco

The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 74.47% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (72.15% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 17.32% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (20.72% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
