Russia’s Trade with Morocco
In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Morocco was $336,894,975, down 11.13% ($42,211,954) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $176,366,253, up 3.82% ($6,496,089) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $160,528,722, down 23.28% ($48,708,043) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade balance with Morocco went from a deficit of $39,366,601 in the 1st quarter of 2019, to a surplus of $15,837,531 in the 1st quarter of 2020.
Morocco was Russia’s 58th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2370% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2408% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Morocco was Russia’s 61st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1982% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1627% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Morocco was Russia’s 48th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 40th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3020% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3945% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Morocco
The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 70.71% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (41.47% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 15.33% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (24.40% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
