Russia’s Trade with Bangladesh
In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Bangladesh totaled $874,812,637, up 41.21% ($255,288,841) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Bangladesh in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $544,130,468, up 56.65% ($196,785,407) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Bangladesh in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $330,682,169, up 21.49% ($58,503,434) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade surplus with Bangladesh in the 3rd quarter of 2021 was $213,448,299, a 183.97% increase ($138,281,973) over the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Bangladesh was Russia’s 41st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 36th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4196% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4536% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Bangladesh was Russia’s 46th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (down from 40th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4079% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4416% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Bangladesh was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4404% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4699% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Bangladesh
The major share of Russian exports to Bangladesh in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 53.56% of Russia’s total exports to Bangladesh (26.17% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 28.76% of Russia’s total exports to Bangladesh (8.71% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 10.93% of Russia’s total exports to Bangladesh (60.23% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 4.33% of Russia’s total exports to Bangladesh (1.10% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
