Russia increases export of liquefied natural gas

Russia increased export of liquefied natural gas by almost 50 percent and plans to further increase its share in the global gas market
The export of liquefied natural gas from Russia to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in January-August 2018 increased by 48.2 percent compared to the same period last year. According to the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Russia can increase its share in the world market of liquefied natural gas from the current 4% to 15-20% by 2035.
