The top five Russia’s trade partners in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were the US (4.2607% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Mexico (0.4524%), Canada (0.3284%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.0850%), and Cuba (0.0546%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in North America in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were the US (3.0700% of Russia’s total exports), Mexico (0.4624%), Canada (0.1658%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.1412%), and Cuba (0.0875%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from North America in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were the US (6.0531% of Russia’s total imports), Canada (0.5733%), Mexico (0.4374%), Puerto Rico (0.0817%), and Costa Rica (0.0445%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016:

  • The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia’s total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.3050% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016 to 0.1412% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Puerto Rico in Russia’s total exports declined 15.3-fold from 0.0322% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016 to 0.0021% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Jamaica in Russia’s total exports rose 15.3-fold from 0.0003% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016 to 0.0046% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of the US in Russia’s total imports rose from 4.9038% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016 to 6.0531% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017.
