Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In 2011, Russia’s trade with Singapore totaled $2,636,031,099, up 12.64% ($295,771,117) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in 2011 totaled $2,250,278,754, up 12.04% ($241,898,214) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in 2011 totaled $385,752,345, up 16.23% ($53,872,903) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in 2011 was $1,864,526,409, a 11.22% increase ($188,025,311) over 2010.

Singapore was Russia’s 42nd largest trading partner in 2011 (down from 39th in 2010), accounting for 0.3205% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3739% in 2010).

Singapore was Russia’s 33rd largest export market in 2011 (down from 30th in 2010), accounting for 0.4355% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.5058% in 2010).

Singapore was Russia’s 59th largest supplier in 2011 (down from 57th in 2010), accounting for 0.1262% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1450% in 2010).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 91.82% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (96.67% in 2010);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 5.03% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.71% in 2010);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.65% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.09% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.11% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (0.24% in 2010).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Singapore in 2011 over 2010 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $13,115,361.
