Russia’s Trade with Sweden

In 2011, Russia’s trade with Sweden totaled $9,164,537,823, up 42.24% ($2,721,518,954) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to Sweden in 2011 totaled $5,127,068,615, up 42.84% ($1,537,600,123) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Sweden in 2011 totaled $4,037,469,208, up 41.49% ($1,183,918,831) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Sweden in 2011 was $1,089,599,407, a 48.06% increase ($353,681,292) over 2010.

Sweden was Russia’s 22nd largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 24th in 2010), accounting for 1.1143% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.0293% in 2010).

Sweden was Russia’s 25th largest export market in 2011 (down from 24th in 2010), accounting for 0.9922% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.9040% in 2010).

Sweden was Russia’s 20th largest supplier in 2011 (up from 21st in 2010), accounting for 1.3205% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.2466% in 2010).

The major share of Russian exports to Sweden in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 13.18% of Russia’s total exports to Sweden (14.01% in 2010);
