Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In 2011, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic totaled $9,952,327,563, up 18.22% ($1,533,787,137) from 2010.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in 2011 were $5,448,682,921, down 0.94% ($51,506,681) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in 2011 totaled $4,503,644,642, up 54.32% ($1,585,293,818) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Czech Republic in 2011 was $945,038,279, a 63.40% decrease ($1,636,800,499) over 2010.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 21st largest trading partner in 2011 (down from 19th in 2010), accounting for 1.2100% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.3449% in 2010).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 24th largest export market in 2011 (down from 19th in 2010), accounting for 1.0545% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.3852% in 2010).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 16th largest supplier in 2011 (up from 20th in 2010), accounting for 1.4729% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.2749% in 2010).

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 83.62% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (84.37% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.39% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (4.50% in 2010);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.03% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (4.38% in 2010);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.65% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (4.79% in 2010).

Russia’s Imports from the Czech Republic

The major share of Russian imports from the Czech Republic in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 11.87% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (14.55% in 2010);
