In 2012, Russia’s trade with Iran was $2,328,511,522, down 38.03% ($1,428,957,778) from 2011.

Russia’s exports to Iran in 2012 were $1,900,386,610, down 44.21% ($1,505,703,138) from 2011.

Russia’s imports from Iran in 2012 totaled $428,124,912, up 21.84% ($76,745,360) from 2011.

Russia’s trade surplus with Iran in 2012 was $1,472,261,698, a 51.80% decrease ($1,582,448,498) over 2011.

Iran was Russia’s 45th largest trading partner in 2012 (down from 35th in 2011), accounting for 0.2765% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4568% in 2011).

Iran was Russia’s 38th largest export market in 2012 (down from 28th in 2011), accounting for 0.3622% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.6592% in 2011).

Iran was Russia’s 57th largest supplier in 2012 (up from 61st in 2011), accounting for 0.1349% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1149% in 2011).

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 28.20% of Russia’s total exports to Iran (2.15% in 2011);
