Russia’s Trade with Syria
In 2012, Russia’s trade with Syria was $656,261,280, down 67.04% ($1,334,802,939) from 2011.
Russia’s exports to Syria in 2012 were $625,527,140, down 67.79% ($1,316,673,023) from 2011.
Russia’s imports from Syria in 2012 were $30,734,140, down 37.10% ($18,129,916) from 2011.
Russia’s trade surplus with Syria in 2012 was $594,793,000, a 68.58% decrease ($1,298,543,107) over 2011.
Syria was Russia’s 75th largest trading partner in 2012 (down from 47th in 2011), accounting for 0.0779% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2421% in 2011).
Syria was Russia’s 62nd largest export market in 2012 (down from 38th in 2011), accounting for 0.1192% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3759% in 2011).

- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 11.12% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (3.15% in 2011);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 8.68% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (3.08% in 2011);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.07% of Russia’s total exports to Syria (0.70% in 2011);
