Russia’s Trade with Taiwan
In 2012, Russia’s trade with Taiwan totaled $5,325,319,527, up 28.58% ($1,183,788,054) from 2011.
Russia’s exports to Taiwan in 2012 totaled $3,321,683,392, up 57.88% ($1,217,777,908) from 2011.
Russia’s imports from Taiwan in 2012 were $2,003,636,135, down 1.67% ($33,989,854) from 2011.
Russia’s trade surplus with Taiwan in 2012 was $1,318,047,257, a 1,888.62% increase ($1,251,767,762) over 2011.
Taiwan was Russia’s 28th largest trading partner in 2012 (up from 30th in 2011), accounting for 0.6325% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5035% in 2011).
Taiwan was Russia’s 29th largest export market in 2012 (up from 37th in 2011), accounting for 0.6330% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.4072% in 2011).
Taiwan was Russia’s 29th largest supplier in 2012 (down from 27th in 2011), accounting for 0.6315% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.6664% in 2011).
Russia’s Exports to Taiwan
The major share of Russian exports to Taiwan in 2012 (and in 2011) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 50.35% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (22.49% in 2011);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 44.57% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (65.71% in 2011);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.19% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (5.50% in 2011);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.07% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (1.88% in 2011);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.89% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (2.71% in 2011);
