In 2014, Russia’s trade with Nigeria totaled $368,143,252, up 23.08% ($69,030,069) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Nigeria in 2014 totaled $351,617,063, up 31.26% ($83,735,274) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Nigeria in 2014 were $16,526,189, down 47.08% ($14,705,205) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Nigeria in 2014 was $335,090,874, a 41.60% increase ($98,440,479) over 2013.

Nigeria was Russia’s 90th largest trading partner in 2014 (up from 93rd in 2013), accounting for 0.0470% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0355% in 2013).

Nigeria was Russia’s 76th largest export market in 2014 (up from 80th in 2013), accounting for 0.0708% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0508% in 2013).

Nigeria was Russia’s 107th largest supplier in 2014 (down from 100th in 2013), accounting for 0.0058% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0099% in 2013).

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.90% of Russia’s total imports from Nigeria (3.54% in 2013).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Nigeria in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Coffee, tea, maté and spices (HS code 09) - an increase of $125,984;
  • Soap, organic surface-active agents, washing preparations, lubricating preparations, artificial waxes, prepared waxes, polishing or scouring preparations, candles and similar articles, modeling pastes, "dental waxes" and dental preparations with a basis of plaster (HS code 34) - an increase of $119,218.

The largest declines in Russia’s imports from Nigeria in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:
