Russia's Trade with Cyprus

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Cyprus was $69,331,589, down 11.12% ($8,674,982) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Cyprus in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $64,115,784, down 5.53% ($3,751,769) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Cyprus in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $5,215,805, down 48.56% ($4,923,213) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Cyprus in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $58,899,979, a 2.03% increase ($1,171,444) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Cyprus was Russia's 84th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 86th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0637% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.0572% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Cyprus was Russia's 72nd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 73rd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0965% of Russia's total exports (up from 0.0741% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Cyprus was Russia's 99th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 96th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0123% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.0226% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Cyprus

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $831,199;
  • Residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal feed (HS code 23) - an increase of $654,625;
  • Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - an increase of $554,820;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $473,854;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $209,378.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Cyprus in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Ships, boats and floating structures (HS code 89) - a decrease of $5,000,000;

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $1,432,193;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $772,402;
