Russia’s Trade with Jordan
In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $27,953,356, down 62.16% ($45,917,798) from the 1st quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 1st quarter of 2017 were $23,670,863, down 66.51% ($47,006,979) from the 1st quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $4,282,493, up 34.11% ($1,089,181) from the 1st quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $19,388,370, a 71.27% decrease ($48,096,160) over the 1st quarter of 2016.
Jordan was Russia’s 108th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 82nd in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0217% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0761% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
Jordan was Russia’s 94th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 70th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0284% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1153% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
Jordan was Russia’s 105th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 104th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0095% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0089% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Jordan
The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 29.08% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (5.72% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 14.08% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (46.92% in the 1st quarter of 2016);

- Tanning or dyeing extracts; dyes, pigments, paints, varnishes, putty and mastics (HS code 32) - an increase of $325,599;
- Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - an increase of $176,228;
- Cocoa and cocoa preparations (HS code 18) - an increase of $124,734;
- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $107,926.
The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 1st quarter of 2017 over the 1st quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 31.50% of Russia’s total imports from Jordan (40.31% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
