Russia’s Trade with Tunisia

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Tunisia totaled $158,988,340, up 48.87% ($52,194,990) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Tunisia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $121,290,398, up 53.30% ($42,172,254) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Tunisia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $37,697,942, up 36.22% ($10,022,736) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tunisia in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $83,592,456, a 62.50% increase ($32,149,518) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Tunisia was Russia’s 70th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 74th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1237% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1100% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Tunisia was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 67th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1455% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1291% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Tunisia was Russia’s 72nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 73rd in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0834% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0773% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Tunisia

The major share of Russian exports to Tunisia in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 68.84% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (44.31% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 16.08% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (13.18% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
