Russia’s Trade with Croatia

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Croatia totaled $189,559,790, up 2.41% ($4,452,382) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $116,819,661, down 11.70% ($15,476,911) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $72,740,129, up 37.74% ($19,929,293) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $44,079,532, a 44.54% decrease ($35,406,204) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Croatia was Russia’s 69th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1297% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1518% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Croatia was Russia’s 66th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 62nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1369% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1839% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Croatia was Russia’s 61st largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 64th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1196% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1057% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 89.31% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (93.07% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.30% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (2.33% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.38% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (3.60% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $3,068,821;
  • Articles of apparel and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted (HS code 61) - an increase of $796,908.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $18,799,714;
