Russia’s Trade with Ecuador

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Ecuador totaled $341,745,436, up 18.48% ($53,292,712) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $65,338,839, up 21.05% ($11,363,668) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Ecuador in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $276,406,597, up 17.88% ($41,929,044) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ecuador in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $211,067,758, a 16.93% increase ($30,565,376) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Ecuador was Russia’s 56th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 54th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2338% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2366% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Ecuador was Russia’s 80th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 79th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0765% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0750% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Ecuador was Russia’s 34th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 33rd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.4544% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4692% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

  • Products of animal origin, not elsewhere specified or included (HS code 05) - an increase of $305,405;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - an increase of $239,543.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ecuador in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $7,277,235;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $6,802,144;

Russia’s Imports from Ecuador
