Russia’s Trade with France

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with France was $3,691,260,797, down 3.47% ($132,695,708) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to France in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $1,213,745,116, up 4.31% ($50,176,615) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from France in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $2,477,515,681, down 6.87% ($182,872,323) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with France in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $1,263,770,565, a 15.57% decrease ($233,048,938) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

France was Russia’s 12th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 10th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 2.5250% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.1364% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

France was Russia’s 19th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 18th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.4219% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.6173% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

France was Russia’s 6th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 4th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 4.0730% of Russia’s total imports (down from 5.3231% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to France

The major share of Russian exports to France in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 82.64% of Russia’s total exports to France (82.68% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.74% of Russia’s total exports to France (2.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.72% of Russia’s total exports to France (5.19% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
