Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Jordan totaled $35,681,898, up 49.72% ($11,849,034) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $30,239,672, up 53.51% ($10,540,271) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $5,442,226, up 31.66% ($1,308,763) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $24,797,446, a 59.31% increase ($9,231,508) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Jordan was Russia’s 105th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 114th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0244% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0195% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Jordan was Russia’s 94th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 101st in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0354% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0274% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Jordan was Russia’s 103rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 107th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0089% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0083% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Jordan

The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 5.90% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (5.74% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);

  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - an increase of $410,456;
  • Miscellaneous edible preparations (HS code 21) - an increase of $242,956;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $225,438;
  • Meat and edible meat offal (HS code 02) - an increase of $183,795;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $181,417;

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $587,247;
  • Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - a decrease of $168,161;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $137,388;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $104,746.
