Russia’s Trade with Lebanon
In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Lebanon was $138,023,835, down 15.65% ($25,599,968) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $135,527,573, down 15.65% ($25,146,882) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Lebanon in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $2,496,262, down 15.36% ($453,086) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade surplus with Lebanon in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $133,031,311, a 15.66% decrease ($24,693,796) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Lebanon was Russia’s 76th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 70th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0944% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1342% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Lebanon was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 59th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1588% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2233% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Lebanon was Russia’s 116th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 115th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0041% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0059% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Lebanon
The major share of Russian exports to Lebanon in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 64.18% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (35.97% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 26.85% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (51.99% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.19% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (3.22% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.70% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (1.28% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);

- Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $418,023.
The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $48,078,967;
