Russia’s Trade with Morocco
In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Morocco was $252,890,080, down 19.76% ($62,289,646) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $186,541,800, down 26.58% ($67,526,239) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $66,348,280, up 8.57% ($5,236,593) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade surplus with Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $120,193,520, a 37.71% decrease ($72,762,832) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Morocco was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 52nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1730% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2585% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Morocco was Russia’s 58th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 45th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2185% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3531% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Morocco was Russia’s 63rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 61st in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1091% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1223% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Morocco
The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 84.29% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (45.71% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.74% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (24.85% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.79% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (1.03% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $68,393,921;
- Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $57,843,201;
- Residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal feed (HS code 23) - a decrease of $937,478;
