Russia’s Trade with Singapore
In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Singapore totaled $849,801,171, up 26.07% ($175,722,740) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $672,153,406, up 18.44% ($104,658,907) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $177,647,765, up 66.67% ($71,063,833) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $494,505,641, a 7.29% increase ($33,595,074) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Singapore was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 35th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.5813% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5529% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Singapore was Russia’s 29th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 32nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.7874% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.7888% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Singapore was Russia’s 45th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 52nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2921% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2133% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Singapore
The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 91.54% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (97.12% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 7.25% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.56% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $65,217,940;
- Ships, boats and floating structures (HS code 89) - an increase of $33,500,000;
