Russia’s Trade with Sudan

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Sudan totaled $93,780,870, up 86.81% ($43,580,232) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $93,623,666, up 86.96% ($43,547,805) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $157,204, up 25.99% ($32,427) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $93,466,462, a 87.12% increase ($43,515,378) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Sudan was Russia’s 83rd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 100th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0642% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0412% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Imports from Sudan

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 63.56% of Russia’s total imports from Sudan (87.65% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 13.29% of Russia’s total imports from Sudan (10.47% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
