Russia’s Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Kazakhstan totaled $4,667,204,540, up 20.47% ($793,050,890) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $3,416,904,317, up 19.15% ($549,285,752) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $1,250,300,223, up 24.22% ($243,765,138) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $2,166,604,094, a 16.42% increase ($305,520,614) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 10th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 11th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 2.7923% of Russia’s total trade (down from 2.8430% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 8th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.3217% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.4205% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Kazakhstan was Russia’s 11th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.9451% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.9197% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

The major share of Russian exports to Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
