Russia’s Trade with Qatar
In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Qatar totaled $26,158,104, up 103.38% ($13,296,633) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Qatar in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $20,305,135, up 417.18% ($16,379,018) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Qatar in the 4th quarter of 2017 were $5,852,969, down 34.50% ($3,082,385) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade balance with Qatar went from a deficit of $5,009,237 in the 4th quarter of 2016, to a surplus of $14,452,166 in the 4th quarter of 2017.
Qatar was Russia’s 118th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 125th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0156% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0094% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Qatar was Russia’s 107th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 129th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0197% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0047% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Qatar was Russia’s 102nd largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 97th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0091% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0170% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Qatar
The major share of Russian exports to Qatar in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 8.28% of Russia’s total exports to Qatar (42.83% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.25% of Russia’s total exports to Qatar (5.89% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
