Russia’s Trade with Colombia

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Colombia was $80,241,981, down 38.33% ($49,869,366) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Colombia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $58,349,258, down 44.19% ($46,208,836) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Colombia in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $21,892,723, down 14.33% ($3,660,530) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Colombia in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $36,456,535, a 53.86% decrease ($42,548,306) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Colombia was Russia’s 86th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 74th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0509% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1012% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Colombia was Russia’s 80th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 64th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0566% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1255% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Colombia was Russia’s 85th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 82nd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0401% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0565% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Colombia

The major share of Russian exports to Colombia in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 22.78% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (13.49% in the 1st quarter of 2017);

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 5.73% of Russia’s total imports from Colombia (12.58% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.33% of Russia’s total imports from Colombia (0.77% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
