Russia’s Trade with Mongolia
In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Mongolia totaled $296,023,264, up 28.29% ($65,275,034) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Mongolia in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $287,449,006, up 29.05% ($64,700,002) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Mongolia in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $8,574,258, up 7.19% ($575,032) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mongolia in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $278,874,748, a 29.86% increase ($64,124,970) over the 1st quarter of 2017.
Mongolia was Russia’s 62nd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 60th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1878% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1795% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Mongolia was Russia’s 50th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 49th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2790% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2673% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Mongolia was Russia’s 96th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0157% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0177% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Mongolia
The major share of Russian exports to Mongolia in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 53.96% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (63.36% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 22.03% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (13.38% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
