Russia’s Trade with Morocco
In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Morocco totaled $525,353,746, up 33.44% ($131,643,733) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $319,880,908, up 72.08% ($133,989,300) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $205,472,838, down 1.13% ($2,345,567) from the 1st quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade balance with Morocco went from a deficit of $21,926,797 in the 1st quarter of 2017, to a surplus of $114,408,070 in the 1st quarter of 2018.
Morocco was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 48th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3333% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3063% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Morocco was Russia’s 46th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 52nd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3105% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2231% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Morocco was Russia’s 41st largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 37th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3763% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4596% in the 1st quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Morocco
The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 69.93% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (77.00% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 19.49% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (8.24% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.38% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (5.51% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
