Russia’s Trade with Venezuela

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Venezuela totaled $21,845,237, up 60.29% ($8,216,324) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Venezuela in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $21,551,563, up 59.29% ($8,021,621) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Venezuela in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $293,674, up 196.73% ($194,703) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Venezuela in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $21,257,889, a 58.28% increase ($7,826,918) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Venezuela was Russia’s 118th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 121st in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0139% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0106% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Venezuela was Russia’s 103rd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 107th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0209% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0162% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Venezuela was Russia’s 143rd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 147th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0005% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0002% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Imports from Venezuela

The major share of Russian imports from Venezuela in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.06% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (13.37% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Venezuela in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
