Russia’s Trade with Australia

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Australia totaled $178,252,667, up 17.88% ($27,033,826) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $30,556,611, up 55.17% ($10,864,039) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $147,696,056, up 12.29% ($16,169,787) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $117,139,445, a 4.74% increase ($5,305,748) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Australia was Russia’s 77th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 72nd in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1036% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1034% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Australia was Russia’s 100th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 103rd in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0272% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0231% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Australia was Russia’s 48th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 54th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2467% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2162% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $253,023;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $248,706;
  • Tools, implements, cutlery, spoons and forks, of base metal; parts thereof of base metal (HS code 82) - a decrease of $195,431;
