Russia’s Trade with Egypt
In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Egypt was $1,359,171,318, down 18.39% ($306,261,202) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Egypt in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $1,315,854,342, down 18.05% ($289,815,131) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Egypt in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $43,316,976, down 27.52% ($16,446,071) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Egypt in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $1,272,537,366, a 17.68% decrease ($273,369,060) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Egypt was Russia’s 26th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 20th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.7899% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.1392% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Egypt was Russia’s 21st largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 16th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.1728% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.8811% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Egypt was Russia’s 75th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 65th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0723% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0983% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Egypt
The major share of Russian exports to Egypt in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 41.41% of Russia’s total exports to Egypt (24.37% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 19.79% of Russia’s total exports to Egypt (11.23% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
