Russia’s Trade with Norway

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Norway was $408,652,815, down 1.63% ($6,785,168) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Norway in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $297,911,746, up 34.88% ($77,040,651) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Norway in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $110,741,069, down 43.08% ($83,825,819) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Norway in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $187,170,677, a 611.56% increase ($160,866,470) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Norway was Russia’s 50th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 51st in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2375% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2842% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Norway was Russia’s 47th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 53rd in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2655% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2588% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Norway was Russia’s 55th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 43rd in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1850% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3199% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Norway

The major share of Russian exports to Norway in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 45.89% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (58.49% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 32.68% of Russia’s total exports to Norway (28.87% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
