Russia’s Trade with Spain

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Spain totaled $1,528,055,709, up 18.09% ($234,026,808) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $633,711,705, up 31.05% ($150,148,807) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $894,344,004, up 10.35% ($83,878,001) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $260,632,299, a 20.27% decrease ($66,270,806) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Spain was Russia’s 23rd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 26th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.8880% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.8852% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Spain was Russia’s 36th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5648% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.5665% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Spain was Russia’s 16th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 20th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.4937% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.3324% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

The major share of Russian exports to Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.95% of Russia’s total exports to Spain (10.01% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
